After 2 Hit-and-run Charges, Amanda Bynes’ Driver’s License Suspended

After former Nickelodeon star Amanda Bynes was slapped with two counts of hit-and-run comes another heavy blow against the young actress.

Based from the California Department of Motor Vehicles’ records, Bynes can no longer drive around the streets of Los Angeles since her driver’s license was previously suspended by the agency.

The suspension of her license followed her second misdemeanor charge as a result of her drunk driving way back in April 6 in West Hollywood; while her first hit-and-run charge stemmed from her August 4 car accident.

Meanwhile, DMV officials did not state the exact reason for Byne’s license suspension. Also, it is not yet clear when the cancellation officially took effect.

Going back to Bynes’ April 6 accident, the 26-year-old actress initially denied the fact that she struck an LA County Sheriff’s car in an intersection in West Hollywood. The said case later became void for the lack of witness to testify.

However, as the investigation moved forward, authorities finally determined that the damage incurred by Bynes’ rented vehicle matched the damaged sustained by the sheriff’s car. Said evidence urged the prosecutors to re-open the case and eventually charged her with another hit-and-run case.

Ironically, after her first hit-and-run charge, Bynes still had the guts to tweet President Barack Obama, when she said: “Hey @BarackObama, I don’t drink. Please fire the cop who arrested me. I also don’t hit and run.”

In a recent blog post, a Los Angeles auto accident attorney here suggested the young actress to get her own personal driver to avoid further road misfortunes. However, based on what is going on now, Bynes is indeed required to hire someone to drive for her since she doesn’t have the license to drive now.

Definitely, no one would be surprised if the next days’ headlines would state that the troubled actress will be headed to jail for her traffic mishaps.

Two thumbs up @Michelle Custodio. That is definitely true. As I always suggest to everyone, "Prevention is better than cure". Try to avoid accidents as possible instead of thinking about your next step after the accident.
